HWY 41 CELEBRATES OLYMPIC SKATERS

More than 1,000 people turned out on a rainy Saturday afternoon (Jan. 30) at the Ellenton Ice Sports Complex to celebrate Olympic pairs skaters Caydee Denney/Jeremy Barrett and Amanda Evora/Mark Ladwig as they prepared to make their way to compete in the Vancouver Games. The pairs, who train in Ellenton, finished one-two at the recent National Championships, qualifying to represent the U.S. at the 2010 Winter Games in February. HWY 41 provided the musical backdrop for an amazing afternoon meet-and-greet with the skaters, who signed autographs for more than two hours.
